Abundant Life Church has been blessed by the leadership of Pastor Gerald A. Ripley Jr. since its inception in 1987.  Pastor Ripley received his Master of Divinity degree (with honor) from Luther Theological Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota after graduating from Concordia College (Summa Cum Laude) in Moorhead, Minnesota.

In addition to pastoring Abundant Life, he has a mantle of intercession – mobilizing Christians to pray.  He serves in the leadership of the National Day of Prayer in San Antonio.  For more than a dozen years he has been a leader of the pastoral association called The Gathering, serving as Chairman from 2002 to 2004 and as Treasurer from 2007 to the present.

He and his wife Sharon have three adult children, the youngest of whom is a graduate student at Baylor University.

Pastor Ripley is a sports fan and cheers for the Spurs.  He also enjoys fishing at the Texas coast and in the lakes of his home state of Minnesota.

Sharon Ripley exemplifies the Proverbs 31 woman.  She is also an anointed pianist and a superb teacher with extraordinary wisdom.
