Love One Another

Our Lord commands us to "love one another as I (Jesus Christ) have loved you." (John 15:12) We take this command seriously at Abundant Life church. Everyone who steps through the doors of our church are welcome and loved as part of our family.  Ephesians 2:19-22 states, "You are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God... you are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit."  Our church members take this verse to heart and consider each other to be members of the same family.  Each person, regardless of age or gender, is of great value to our congregation and are expected to contribute in the building up of one another for the purpose of glorifying God.

Save the Lost

Our aim is to shine the light of Christ's love for all mankind first to our city, then to our state, and finally to the world.  We believe that all people have sinned and have earned our eternity in hell. However, God showed us great and amazing love when He sent Jesus Christ, his only Son, to take the penalty of our sins onto Himself when He died on the cross.  Three days later, Jesus was resurrected and now sits at the right hand of God.  Romans 10:9-13 tells us that "if you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved".  This gift of forgiveness and eternal life is available to everyone through the uncontainable grace of God.

Disciple the Saved

The early church met together "steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers  with gladness and simplicity of heart". (Acts 2:42 & 46b)  The congregation of Abundant Life church do the same.  We join together on Sunday mornings for Sunday School classes, praise and worship, and to hear a teaching from our pastor.  Both our pastor and all of our teachers follow sola scriptura which means that "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable fordoctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, hat the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17).  The Bible is enough and cannot be added to by any other doctrine or teaching. Outside of our Sunday services, we meet at various times during the week for prayer, Bible studies, other fellowship events.
